November recap

Good morning from Guatemala. Quite a few things have happened this past month and the busy schedule will continue for the next month and a half.

The volcano has been very active the past two weeks. Our friend Susan was able to get these photos. This morning there have been some eruptions and rumbles that rattle our house and most days there has been constant smoke billowing up toward the sky.

We've been able to have some fun activities with the kids this past month while they are on school vacation. Some days we have split the age groups and done different activities like baseball, and baking at our house while other days we've done big group games at the court. Today (Monday) we will be having water games with lots of water balloons! Check out our facebook page or instagram to see some photos! We are also getting excited as we are planning for the new year. We are updating posters, preparing Bible and English lessons, making changes to educational time, replacing equipment and supplies, finalizing schedule, planning for hosting interns, and Lord willing, moving locations!!! (More info on this in December and/or January's posts)

This poster is to help kids calculate how much things cost
in our 'mini-store' and how many points they have left after purchasing items.

We spent a week in Costa Rica at the Push The Rock Latin America Summit. It was a great time of learning, encouragement, seeing PTR ministry in Costa Rica, playing soccer, a volcano trip, worship, hearing stories and testimonies, talking about the future, and interacting with other staff that work in Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Pennsylvania.

This photos is at one of the schools where PTR Costa Rica
teaches Phys Ed classes. This is me talking a little bit about PTR Guate.

Group photos of us "Pushing The Rock"

We did some team building exercises  and spent a lot of time in the bus.

Here are some pictures from around "La Cumbre" (The Summit),
the camp we were at for the 2nd half of the week.

Our trip to a volcano as we looked down into the crater
which was 1,050 meters wide and 300 meters deep.

This is a photo of Nicol and Sammy,
who loved spending time together
at the PTR Costa Rica celebration banquet.

This is our last full week here in Guatemala before we head back to the United States for a month. We are excited to see many of you and share how God is working through Push The Rock. We are also excited to catch up with friends and family so that they can meet Samuel! You can be praying for us as we continue to plan for the new year of the after-school program, plan for our trip, get last-minute details taken care of before we leave, and for this coming year of the after-school program.

We still have some open dates available if anyone would like to meet with us to get coffee, a meal, or just get together to catch up. Contact us via facebook or e-mail if you would be interested.

Also as a reminder we will be bringing back some scarves and coffee (and some other items) which make great Christmas gifts, but also help to support our ministry.

And now some photos of Sammy for your entertainment :)

We are so thankful to you for your prayers and support.
Hasta pronto,

Andi, Shauna and Samuel
